Today it is snowing in Boston and I just finished shoveling some snow as the year 2009 comes into Play. After finishing several shows such as The Boston Arts Festival, South End Open Studio's, Worcester Craft Festival and many other Juried exhibits along with Teaching I am expanding on new idea's, The last week of December our family took a trip to St Maartin which was wonderful. We endured a week in a home on the French side where i collected several French Magazine's to savour for to make French theme cuff's and bring to upcoming Decoupage Classes. Sometimes it is difficult to enjoy a magazine without considering what i could make it into. This past week I had the opportunity to visit the Currier Museum in Manchester , New Hampshire. The exhibit http://www.currier.org/nowonview.aspx I tell my students that every week one should do something creative and this exhibit focus's on the famous artist and captivates them in black and white photography. On Friday I went downtown to Broomfield Street and visited with Jen Matson who is a photographer at 34 Broomfield Street. The city of Boston has given Artists a Retail location originally just for the holidays. It is now extended four months. http://www.boston.com/news/local/articles/2008/11/30/district_hopes_to_do_well_by_doing_good_for_artists/ Today as it snows i prepare for a upcoming decoupage class at The cambridge Center for Adult education which begins Tuesday Jan 13 from 5:45-7:45 http://www.ccae.org/ In Addition Tuesday Jan 13 at the Brookline Arts Center I am teaching during the day a Decoupage class http://www.brooklineartscenter.com/classes/adult.html#12.
